ARC August: TBR

Welcome back to my blog. August is upon us, and with that comes ARC August hosted by the lovely girls at Read.Sleep.Repeat. The challenge is designed to help you dive into that huge ARC pile and get some reviews done.

For those of you that have been following me for some time now, you know that I've been having a hard time at school, which had made me forget about some old ARC's that I've received and never even opened.

So... my goal for this challenge is to read at least 4 ARCs and get my feedback ratio above 80% on Netgalley.

Which means, my TBR for this month is..

Please don't judge me, some of these are all the way from last year and I feel absolutely horrible for not reading them on time. But thats what this challenge is for!

Good luck to everyone participating in the ARC August challenge, and I wish you all luck with your TBRs.

From Netgalley
The Bone Witch
When Tea accidentally resurrects her brother from the dead, she learns she is different from the other witches in her family. Her gift for necromancy means that she’s a bone witch, a title that makes her feared and ostracized by her community. But Tea finds solace and guidance with an older, wiser bone witch, who takes Tea and her brother to another land for training.

In her new home, Tea puts all her energy into becoming an asha — one who can wield elemental magic. But dark forces are approaching quickly, and in the face of danger, Tea will have to overcome her obstacles…and make a powerful choice.

Reborn: Myra
I have to sell myself to the vampires. I know it's not safe, but there's no other option. Not for the amount of money I need. It's either become a blood courtesan or watch my mom die while we lose the only home I've ever known.

So I leap before I look and soon I'm sharing a bed with vampire Kristos Anastos. He's hot, rich and his fangs hurt so good. The courtesan thing is better than I thought it would be... until bullets start to fly.

Kristos believes he's the target, but it soon becomes clear it's not him they're after. It's me. And if I want to live, I'd better figure out why.

I thought I was just a college student, a good kid raised by a single mom down on her luck, but I have secrets even I don't know about.

Blood is money and mine may be worth the most of all.

Full length novel with NO cliffhanger. Previously published as Blood Struck and revised and expanded in this new edition for an even more fangalicious read.

Bitten: Nova
What would you sacrifice to save the one you love?

Your money?
Your body?
Your blood?

Vampires are real and I'm in trouble. Fifteen grand to a vampire mob boss kind of trouble, and I have no way of paying the debt.

Blood isn't all the vampires are after--sex is their most sought after commodity and the one thing I've never had.

So I do the only thing I can to survive, I become a Blood Courtesan.

I've been sold to the highest bidder--a dangerous vampire new to Boston and someone no one wants to mess with.

Only one man can come to my rescue--the vampire enforcer with a killer smile--Kol.

But as I step into the vampire den and I'm forced to bare my body and my mind, doubt slowly creeps in--I don't think he'll be back in time to save me.

Overture: A Vampire Romance
For six centuries, the vampire Irene has hunted human prey to feed from their necks, sometimes taking them to her bed, too.

For almost as long, she has preserved her memories in music notes, composing on her piano but never sharing except with her offspring.

So when, during a trip to Paris, she stumbles onto a bar in which a pianist plays her music for the patrons, she’s flabbergasted that anyone might be enjoying her compositions and just as outraged that they’ve been stolen from her.

Her first instinct is to take the pianist’s life as retribution, but a few words exchanged with the talented, intriguing and insolent Rachid might change her mind…
